Transfer Existing

You can initiate a domain name transfer from within Account Manager, or you can go directly to our domain transfer page at http://www.networksolutions.com/domain-transfer/index.jsp.

To transfer a domain to Network Solutions from another registrar

  1. From within Account Manager, click the Domains tab in the left menu
  2. Click Transfer Existing
  3. Enter the domain name you would like to transfer to Network Solutions. You can enter up to 200 domain names at one time, separated by a comma.
  4. Click Get Started
  5. You will be required to enter an Authorization Code for each domain name you wish to transfer. You can obtain the Authorization Code from the current registrar of the domain name. (You can continue the transfer process without an Authorization Code, but you will need to provide the code within 14 days for the transfer to be finalized.)
  6. Once you have received your Authorization Code, please enter it into the box associated with each domain name you wish to transfer and hit Continue.

Note:

To transfer a domain name from another Network Solutions account:

Customers typically transfer domain names between Network Solutions accounts as a result of a purchase agreement, contract between two or more parties, court order, dissolution of an entity, or as a voluntary transfer to another registrant.

Note:

  1. From within Account Manager, click the Domains tab in the left menu
  2. Click Transfer Existing
  3. Enter one name at a time in the transfer box
  4. Click Get Started
  5. Enter the characters displayed on the security image and click Continue. The use of this image prevents unauthorized programs from automatically requesting a domain name transfer. This step is required for your protection.
  6. You will proceed to the View Your Order page although no charges will be applied for an internal transfer.

Network Solutions will send an e-mail to current Account Holder or Primary Contact of the domain name, asking the individual to authorize the transfer request. The Account Holder/Primary Contact has 14 days to authorize the transfer request.
