Private Registration

Private Registration

When you register a domain name, your address, e-mail address, and telephone number are automatically listed in the public WHOIS database. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires that this personal information is accurate and available for anyone to view on the Web.

Network Solutions offers you the option to keep your personal information hidden from public view with our Private Registration service. The WHOIS listing for your domain name registration will show Network Solutions contact information in place of yours, so your personal data are hidden and safe.

Note: WHOIS contacts are still responsible for keeping their contact information accurate, even though the public WHOIS database includes alternate contact information.
